Brickhouse, presented by Easy Folk
Essie and The Hum @ Brickhouse — Friday, May 22
We're playing Brickhouse this Friday! Doors open at 8PM, show starts at 8:30PM. It's $5 at the door, 21+.
Brickhouse is a fun one — it's a bar environment, so expect a lively crowd. Some folks will settle in at the tables to watch, others are just passing through on their way to another part of the bar. Either way, we'll be playing a great set and hope to see you there.
See you Friday!
Willamette Week Best New Bands Showcase
Willamette Week polled music insiders and compiled a list of Portland's best new bands. And…
We've Been Named One of Portland's Best New Bands — and We're Celebrating at Mississippi Studios
This week, Willamette Week named us one of Portland's 10 Best New Bands of 2026, landing us at #4 on a list spanning cosmic jazz, post-punk, folk, and everything in between. Writer Christen McCurdy described our sound as "drinking tea on the porch on a rainy morning" — and we're going to be thinking about that one for a while.
The feature tells the story of how this band came together: old friendships, a leap of faith, and a lot of songs written from the gut. We started playing together in May 2025, recorded our debut EP Live at Clay St. Studios last December, and somehow ended up here — on a list we're genuinely honored to be part of.
On May 1st, we'll celebrate at Mississippi Studios alongside four other bands from the Best New Bands class of 2026. It's going to be a big night, and we want to see your face in the crowd.
Trinity Jane (Album Release)
Join us at Mississippi Studios on April 26th, Portland!
Three acts to celebrate Trinity Jane’s debut record.
Mississippi Studios welcomes an intimate evening of folk, Americana, and indie rock from three artists at the beginning of something special.
Trinity Jane makes the journey from Appalachia to headline with the release show for her debut record, Wishbone — 13 songs about love, loss, and the stubborn act of holding on. Blending folk-Americana with the raw edge of '90s alternative, she and her band bring the grit of old mountain storytelling and restless modern ache to the stage. This night marks the end of the beginning.
Essie and The Hum bring their ethereal indie-folk rock from the streets of Portland — slow-burn ballads that build toward full-throttle rock moments, pulling the room into a wormhole it won't want to leave.
Brenna Bruce opens the night from Seattle, her crystalline voice and forthcoming debut EP Honest Bloom in tow. Delicate and unhurried, her folk songs move through desert landscapes and Pacific Northwest rivers with quiet power and the timeless patience of an artist who knows exactly what she's doing.
Doors open at 7PM @ Mississippi Studios. Come early and stay late.
